Mr. Wald brings over 18 years of educational experience to Liberty Arts Academy. He has served in the roles of teacher, teacher on special assignment, assistant principal, athletic director, and principal in elementary, middle school, and high schools in the East Valley of Arizona. Mr. Wald graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Social Studies and Secondary Education from Minnesota State University and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. In 2008, Mr. Wald was recognized by the Rodel Foundation of Arizona as an Aspiring Principal. Also, he has been a contributing author for "Successful Data Teams," and an author for the "White Paper Series" and an article for the Lead & Learn Magazine all through the Leadership and Learning Center. Mr. Wald is married to his wife Andrea and has 3 sons (Vincent, Carson, & Cole). Mr. Wald believes that all students can learn through an engaging and exciting classroom by developing a Love for Learning. Through whole child strategies, active engagement, and creating an educational model evolution (Finland Strategies - Family & Play), LAA can make education meaningful, project-based, and fun for all students to grow, achieve, and be successful in the classroom each and every day!
